What’s different about Core Roots CBD’s tinctures?
Core Roots CBD products come in a 2 oz size bottle, while most other CBD products on the market come in a 1 oz size, with some “size up” options that become unaffordable for many. We automatically offer a larger bottle at similar prices to other full-spectrum brands’ 1 oz bottles.
Are Core Roots products GMP compliant?
Yes! Core Roots products are GMP compliant.
GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practice, a system to ensure products are produced consistently in a highly-controlled environment. This means that Core Roots products will be exactly the same each time you buy them. This system is utilized by manufacturers throughout the U.S. and abroad, and its use is enforced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Are Core Roots products gluten-free?
Yes! All Core Roots products are certified gluten-free.
Are Core Roots products vegan?
Yes! All Core Roots products are vegan except our CBD Body Butter, which is vegetarian. Our CBD Vegan Gummies are made using agar gelatin in place of animal gelatin.
Where are Core Roots products manufactured?
All Core Roots products are manufactured in the United States and sourced from industrial hemp grown in Kentucky.
Do you lab-test your products? Can I see the results?
At Core Roots, we want YOU to know what’s in your CBD products. To that end, every Core Roots product is regularly tested by two of the leading labs in the CBD industry, Pro Verde Labs and ACS Laboratories, for quality and potency. We make those results publicly available for anyone to review. Click here to view the results from the latest tested batch.
Which “carrier” oils do Core Roots products use?
Sublingual products (tinctures administered under the tongue) mix CBD with a carrier oil.
We use a combination of organic coconut oil and organic hemp oil. The result is a milder-tasting tincture which is less bitter without using artificial ingredients and blends easily with other flavors.
Does Core Roots CBD have products for my dog or cat?
Yes! Core Roots has a CBD pet spray made of only two ingredients: coconut oil and CBD. The convenient spray top makes it easy to administer.

Is CBD legal in New Jersey?
CBD products are fully legal to purchase in New Jersey!
CBD products, in fact, are fully legal to purchase in most states. The rules differ from state to state, as each one writes its own legislation regarding the substance. For example, while CBD is legal in New Jersey, CBD products are unavailable in Alabama unless the person suffers from debilitating seizures. In reality, very few states disallow CBD altogether.
This patchwork of regulations occurred because the federal government contradicts itself in its laws. The federal Controlled Substances Act (CSA) classifies all “marijuana extract” as a Schedule I, highly-addictive substance with no known medical value. However, the Farm Bill greenlights extracts that come from what’s called “industrial hemp,” which is cannabis sativa bred to have .3% or less THC (what gets you high). Core Roots CBD is derived from industrial hemp.
“But wait,” you might think, “I’ve seen CBD for sale. Are these businesses breaking the law?”
Well, no, probably not. In many cases, CBD is still legal to sell under state laws, including in New Jersey.
If you are unsure if CBD is legal in your state, you can find a great law tracker here courtesy of NORML, the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.

FAQs about CBD in General
What does CBD stand for?
CBD stands for Cannabidiol, one of more than 100 cannabinoids found in cannabis sativa.
Where does CBD come from?
Core Roots products are derived from organic industrial hemp, which is the cannabis sativa plant bred to have no intoxicating cannabinoids (THC). By law, our products have .3% or less THC, trace amounts that do not produce the “high” feeling often associated with cannabis.
Can CBD get me high?
No. Cannabidiol is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid. Core Roots CBD products contain less than .3% of THC, the cannabinoid that delivers the “high” effect. Such trace amounts do not produce the “high” feeling.
How do Core Roots customers use CBD?
Core Roots offers many products, each designed to fit into your lifestyle. For those who do not wish to ingest even trace amounts of THC, select products are available as CBD isolate, which contains no trace of THC whatsoever.
There are many ways to integrate CBD into your life, but here are just some of the ways our customers use our products:
- Drop CBD tincture into a smoothie or coffee
- Rub CBD topical onto hands, feet, and joints
- Discreetly take a vegan gummy or capsule on the go
How do I know which CBD product is right for me?
The type of CBD product that’s best for you depends on your overall goals while consuming CBD.
Certain CBD products take less time or more time to take effect, which can affect your choice in product. Inhalation and under-the-tongue administration take effect faster than gummies, as they bypass your digestive system and liver. You may also want to consider a product that fits best into your lifestyle. For example, you may prefer to take a simple, pre-measured gelcap.
Explore Core Roots CBD products and purchase the product that’s right for you.
How do I take sublingual products?
Use the included dropper to place a dose underneath your tongue. Hold the sublingual there for at least 30 seconds before swallowing.
How do I know how much CBD to take?
The dose varies from person to person, depending on weight and the severity of the condition. Some people take CBD throughout the day, at morning and at night, or once per day. Most people start with a low dose and gradually increase week by week. If you have a sensitive stomach, you may wish to take sublingual or edible CBD with food. This dosage calculator may help you define how much CBD to take, but it is not a replacement for advice from a medical professional.
